Founded in 2006 by current Creative Director Mikkel Borg Bjergsø and journalist Kristian Klarup Keller in Copenhagen, Mikkeller was initially based on the gypsy brewery ethos and continues this practise today. This rule-breaking cult brewery now also operates four brewing facilities – Mikkeller Brewing San Diego, Mikkeller Brewpub London, brewpub Warpigs and Mikkeller Baghaven in Copenhagen – as well as over 30 bars and restaurants across the world.
